Understanding Lighting when plants come indoors!

One of our biggest challenges in the Midwest is providing adequate winter conditions for all the different species we grow as bonsai.

Lighting, adequate lighting that is, is no exception.  This can include our outdoor species as well as the more sensitive species that we refer to as “tropicals”.  For the latter, simply providing a warm indoors and a sun filled window may not be enough depending on what your tree/plant requires.  Check out this in depth article about plants and lighting and learn how it might apply to your needs.
